The Emerald and Sapphire golf Courses at MacDonald Hill Valley were opened in 1975, and the quality of the courses has come to establish the venue as one of the top in the country.
Emerald Course (Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel)
MacDonald Hill Valley Emerald Championship golf course is the pride and joy of the venue. The beautifully kept fairways undulate through 6,714-yards of water hazards, tricky bunkers and 160-acres of pleasant surrounding countryside, making for a truly enjoyable round of golf that is suitable for players of all levels.

Sapphire Course (Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel)
The par-66 Sapphire golf course is shorter and more forgiving that its big sister The Emerald, however the tricky, tight greens and awkward approach shots make pin-point shot accuracy a must. When matched with the Emerald course over a nights’ break, these two courses contrast brilliantly to make for the most enjoyable of golf breaks, which will make players want to return and have another attempt at these brilliant courses.
